data for seven departments in northwestern Peru. Discussion of each
genus contains information on plant form, habitat preferences,
recorded elevations, Peruvian departmental and extra-Peruvian
geographic distributions, and common names when available.
Future volumes in this series will treat the floras of each of northern
Peru's environments in more detail, including coastal deserts, montane
forests, páramos, and eastern Peruvian rain forests.
